Finding Words

With minutes to spare I am finally finding some words today. I struggled today to feel like I had something I wanted to share. I had words, even wrote in my notebook, but didn't feel like sharing. The last few days have been a bit of a blur. My daughter had her tonsils and adenoids removed on Friday and began what I hope will continue to be a speedy recovery. After only some minor setbacks she is doing great but tonight she needed some reassurance when entering her own bed for the first time in a few nights. We had her sleeping on our floor, in our bed, wherever she could get rest and be watched closely the first few nights. I was laying with her until just a few minutes ago and I woke up to a sleeping sweet heart. She had gone from crying, upset, to giggling, to sleeping. Aahh. Good.
Tomorrow I head to the All Write conference in Indiana with all the teachers on my kindergarten team. I am really looking forward to the little break and the learning that I hope will spark some new inspiration. For now though, I am just looking forward to a good night sleep! Goodnight.

Glad all is okay, meaning your daughter! Have fun. Other slicers are there I think.

Oh the trials of being a mom! Maybe this conference is just at the right time for you - a break from being on high alert with your daughter. I'm sure the conference will be great, with lots of learning and inspiration!

I'm glad you found some words to share. It's just nice to keep in touch and know that your world is okay. Enjoy the conference, I'm so jealous. Maybe next year (sigh).

Big hugs to you for getting through this tough time! Children mend so quickly - we parents are usually still aching for them when they are all recovered. Enjoy the All Write Institute!! Can't wait to hear all about it!!
